Adding User with Windows Authentication in MAX

MAX users can select how the username will be authenticated. MAX Authentication will work as in previous versions of MAX and require a MAX user name and password. With Windows Authentication the user name defaults to the logged in Windows user on the workstation and you do not need to enter your password.

Using Windows Authentication also allows MAX users to login as a user that is NOT logged in to the workstation by clicking the browser for User Name. A password for this user will then be required

Add Users to MAX:

From the Security Editor, select Users > Add.

The Add User dialog box displays.

For MAX Authentication, enter the user’s name and password, then re-enter the password for verification.

If the Exact MAX software is integrated with Exact Synergy software, the Exact MAX user name must be paired with an Exact Synergy username. To establish such a pairing, type an Exact Synergy username and password when an Exact MAX username and password display.

Click OK.

For Windows Authentication, select the Domain and the users Windows login name. The login name can be selected from the browser.
