All good decisions are based on good data evaluation – if you do not have data you can not evaluate. Thus it is of key importance that one have data and be able to distiguish between useless data and good data. The important thing to know when providing information is “is it useful” – “does it facilitate action, correction and benefit production”. So, if you are going to venture into the realm of data provision you better be familair with the area you are evaluating and make sure that the data you are providing is of use. Reporting Services and data analysis are only as useful as they can be applied and used – thus one needs familiarity – provide data in timely fashion – best real-time – or distributed so that those that need the data get the best use from it.
